In an effort to improve internet access in rural Liberia, the Universal Access Fund has successfully installed Starlink in Vahun District, Lofa County.
This initiative marks another milestone in the ongoing mission to extend high-speed internet connectivity to remote communities, enabling residents to enjoy faster and more reliable connections for education, healthcare, business, and daily life.
A delegation led by Commissioner Patrick R. Honnah visited the district to oversee the installation and engage with key stakeholders. During the visit, the team met with student groups, community leaders, and government officials, emphasizing the importance of digital inclusion and connectivity for national development.
“Access to the internet is no longer a luxury but a necessity,” said Commissioner Honnah. “Through initiatives like this, we are ensuring that even the most remote communities in Liberia can connect to the world.”
The Universal Access Fund remains committed to bridging the digital divide by expanding access to modern communication technologies across Liberia’s underserved regions.
